For the past few months, or more like, the past year, DC and Wonder Woman fans have been long awaiting the arrival of the famous sequel to Wonder Woman. And now, we’ve been treated to a nice surprise in seeing the first, clear clues into the mysterious film that teases on female empowerment, time travel, and perhaps the return of Chris Pine?
On June 13th, the gates of heaven opened and Queens Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins let us see sneak peaks of the debuted sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

First, Gadot tweeted the first picture of the sequel ever released. The picture showed Wonder Woman looking at various television screens in front of her, all depicting moments from our pop culture world. And in the reflection, Diana seems confused..mystified..sad..horrified?
Then, Patty Jenkins took the wheel for the next one, knowing that it was going to shake the DC world. Jenkins tweeted a photo of Chris Pine, specifically, a scene shot from his character, Steve Trevor. And if Jenkins thought that the picture wasn’t enough, she added a caption that just seemed to thrust the knives in our hearts a little deeper.

Yup. Jenkins really just said that. She really said, “Welcome to Wonder Woman 1984, Steve Trevor!”, as if the shock hadn’t set in yet. Undeniably, this sent waves through the DC universe. Is Steve Trevor really back alive? Did he get zapped into another era? Are Diana and Steve finally going to get the happiness they deserve?
But, Christmas isn’t over fellas. A day later, the press and quite literally everyone in the Washington D.C and greater area were losing their minds, because pictures and videos had been leaked out revealing that the Wonder Woman 1984 set was located in D.C. Extras were snapped in their 80s attire, and roads were blocked because of an explosive scene that film crew were filming that day.

And honestly, what better day to be a Wonder Woman fan than right now? Well, maybe not on June 14th, 2018, but maybe June 16th, 2018. Gadot, yet again, took to Twitter to destroy everyone’s mind in an up close, new picture revealing Wonder Woman’s new outfit of the day.

Fans immediately speculated on the new costume and what it could mean. Definitely shinier, and her hair did get curlier, so maybe it could just be a homage to the 80s theme? Who knows.
But, Stan Twitter reacted to this as they always do.
